Job description
About Xaba:
Xaba is an innovative AI-driven software company transforming advanced manufacturing through robotic system automation. We are a remote-first company with a global team across Canada, the US, and Italy, valuing intelligence, kindness, and collaboration. As we develop our core product, we are seeking a talented Technical Product Manager to join us.
The Opportunity:
As a Technical Product Manager, you will be instrumental in the development and launch of our flagship product. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will collaborate closely with product leadership and the engineering team to define and prioritize the product backlog. Your responsibilities will include guiding the creation of a compelling product and directly engaging with early customers to ensure it meets their needs effectively. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of go-to-market strategies for our initial product offering.
Responsibilities:
Gather customer insights by actively engaging with customers, early adopters, and leads to understand their challenges and existing solutions.
Synthesize market feedback from customer interactions and business development channels to inform product roadmap planning.
Translate business and customer needs into detailed software implementation backlogs, taking ownership of their prioritization.
Lead the planning and execution of new product development initiatives and product enhancements.
Ensure development teams are aligned with the product roadmap and business priorities, focusing on delivering value in each development cycle.
About You:
Possess 5+ years of software development experience in a leadership role, with a proven track record of leading the development of significant features throughout their lifecycle, from concept to release. Experience in an early-stage startup is a plus.
Enjoy interacting with diverse stakeholders – executives, engineers, and customers – and can clearly communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Have experience in full-stack development and are familiar with developing and delivering user-facing, cloud-based solutions.
Demonstrate the ability to create impact and influence without direct authority.
Thrive in ambiguous environments and can make sound, pragmatic decisions to drive progress.
Nice to Have:
Experience working with robots, manipulators, and vision systems.
Exposure to the manufacturing process and mechanical products.
Experience working in an agile software development environment.
Our Team and Perks:
Open, collaborative, and supportive culture with skill shares and design critiques.
Stock option grants for full-time employees, as we believe in employee ownership.
Competitive health benefits package to support the health and wellbeing of our team.
Home office budget to ensure our remote-first team has the right setup.
Self-directed learning budget to foster continuous learning and development.
Our Location:
While we are a remote-first and fully distributed team, you must be located near Milano, able to work in our Italian Office.
Our Hiring Process:
Discover: Apply to the role.
Talk: 30-45 minute screening call with the Hiring Manager.
Deep dive: 60 minute call to explore your experience and the role in detail.
